The Experience

Let’s talk about how a Cuddle Session works + what to expect.

I am moving between cities, so I don’t have an in-house space to host sessions at the moment. I am actively looking for a cozy new spot and am open to suggestions if you know of any welcoming, private spaces in your area. 💜 Thanks for your patience during this in-between chapter!

Note : I’m currently in the middle

of some major life transitions.

Step 1 :

Pre-Session Check-In : Before our session even begins, I’ll check in with you to confirm we’re still good to go. Life happens, so if you’re having a rough day, nervous, or need to reschedule, we’ll handle it with grace and workout a plan. We’ll also go over any last-minute questions or requests that might help you feel more at ease walking in. ✨

Remember : Every session is rooted in consent, curiosity, comfort, and care.

  • 🧭 Step 2 :

Meet & Greet : At the agreed location, we’ll start by sitting down for a casual chat. This gives us both a moment to settle our nerves, connect face-to-face, and go over boundaries, preferences, and any emotional or physical needs you want to address. Think of it as a comfort calibration before we dive in.

  • 🌿 Step 3 :

Grounding & Energy Exchange : We begin with a meditation-style energy exchange exercise, sitting face-to-face, breathing together, and tuning in. This helps us become aware of one another’s emotional and physical presence without saying a word. I’ll ask you what you’re noticing and use that to inform session flow options.

  • 🤗 Step 4 :

The Five-Minute Hug : We’ll set a timer and share a long, sustained hug to see how your body responds to closeness. You may relax immediately or it may take time. I’ll pay attention to when your body softens or tenses, giving me valuable information on your comfort with sustained physical affection.

  • 💆🏻‍♀️ Step 5 :

Face Mapping & Sensory Response : You’ll lie back in a supported, cozy position with your head resting between my legs, a pillow beneath your neck. I’ll gently trace your face to get a sense of your tactile sensitivity and your body’s subtle responses to pressure and connection. This part is about attunement and trust. I may finish with a light scalp massage or finger combing through your hair - only if desired.

  • 🤲 Step 6 :

Touch & Flow : From here, we follow your lead. That might look like spooning, hand-holding, laying in silence, chatting, sipping tea, or using touch tools like Gua Sha or warm stones. Expect to hear things like :
    🫴🏽 How’s the pressure?
🤛🏾 Does this feel better… or this?
👐🏻 Would you like to shift positions?
🫳🏿 Is anything coming up for you?
Your consent is ongoing, and your feedback matters every step of the way.

  • ⏰ Step 7 :

The Final ( 15-Minute ) Countdown : This will be our final session in-person check-in. When we’re nearing the end of your session, I’ll gently set a 15-minute timer and ask :
Is there anything else you’d like to focus on or save space for before we wrap up?

This gives us both time to wind down with intention, check in again about your experience, and land safely.

Step 8 :

Closing & Debrief : We’ll finish with a gentle wind down and a chance to debrief anything that came up. This might include emotions, insights, sensations, or preferences for next time. You’ll be reminded to take it easy afterward, since cuddling can release a flood of oxytocin and dopamine, our natural bonding and happy chemicals. 🌬️

Fun fact : 💡After intense oxytocin surges, some people experience a slight emotional dip known as an “oxytocin crash.” This is completely normal. Just like post-massage or post-yoga recovery, your nervous system may need rest, water, and gentle integration time.

Step 9 :

Aftercare & Follow-Up : Depending on your session goals and emotional state, I may check in a few hours later to see how you’re feeling, especially if we did deeper emotional work. You’ll also get a check-in the next day and again a few days later to ask :

📲 How are you feeling emotionally and physically?

📲 Did anything surface that you want to talk about?

📲 Would you like to change anything for next time? (e.g. more pillows, fewer blankets, different lighting or music?)

📲 Would you like to schedule again?

If We’re Working in the Triadic Model . . . 🧠

If your session is part of a collaborative care plan with a licensed therapist, I’ll take brief non-clinical session notes and, with your permission, share them with your therapist. This ensures everyone on your healing team is on the same page and can support you holistically.

Never heard of it? Let’s unpack it in a way that makes total sense.

Dress Code

Reminder :

Comfy, cozy, and modest is the goal. 🧸 Wear something you’d be okay wearing in front of your grandma or your kid - pajamas, loungewear, yoga pants, soft tees, long shorts. I’ll likely be in my cuddle “uniform”: satin PJ top and long cotton shorts. Bonus points for fuzzy socks or silly prints.
